226.  david Maxwell6 PELOT (Joseph F. 5, Joseph Sealy4, James3, John Francis2, Jonas1) was born March 1845 in South Carolina. He married (1) Mrs. ADELAIDE FRANCES (HARDEE) DENISON , born circa 1845. He married (2) IMOGENE PELOT (#238) , his first cousin, daughter of Richard W. Pelot (#51). She was born in December 1860. The 1870 Census shows them living with Adelaide’s mother, Mrs. M. L. Hardy, a seamstress.[1]

i.                     Francis (Frank) [#418], b. April 1872 in Georgia. He m. (1) Annie Moffatt. She was born in 1872 in Georgia and d. 1946 in Washington DC. Francis m. (2) _____. Francis died in northeast Florida in ____ and is buried in an unmarked grave in Bradenton, Florida. Children:[3]

1.      Edwin David, b. 1 April 1897, d. 1935 in Georgia. He was killed in a car by a train in Northern Virginia in August 1935 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. He m. Billy Mae Cooper from northeastern Florida. Child:

a.         Edwin David Jr.  (adopted), b. 1928 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

2.      Alfred Francis Lynwood (Lynwood Moffatt) , b. 3 June 1900. He was raised in the home of Dr. Printup in Augusta, Georgia after Frank and Annie separated. Alfred Francis Lynwood Pelot changed his name to Lynwood Moffatt Pelot sometime before his first child was born in 1935. He m. Wilsie Caroline Canada in Lynchburg, Virginia circa 1933. He died in October 1963 (?) in Maryland and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. She m. Robert Randall Irwin after Lynwood died. Children:

a.         Lynwood Moffatt Jr., b. 1935, m. Sybil Estelle Blackman in June 1958 in Bethesda, Maryland. Her father was William Howard Blackman Sr.   Lynwood attended the US Naval Academy, the University of Maryland, and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 20 years in the Army in November 1976. Lynwood retired from the Boeing Company after 17 years in Human Resources as Compensation Manager. Children:[4]

(1)      Jeanne Carol, b. 21 October 1962 in Munich, West Germany. She m. Jimmy Dean Railey in January 1986. Child (surname Railey):

(a)    Joseph Lyn Anthony, b. 3 January 2001.

(2)      Lynwood Moffatt III, b. 8 December 1963 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

(3)      Robert William, b. 9 July 1968 in Munich, West Germany. He enlisted in the Marine Corps and has an Associate degree in Electrical Engineering. He m. (1) Annah Adelle Simpson in 1988 and (2) Gretchen Hildee Overton.

Child by first wife:

(a)    Amanda Jean, b. 12 September 1988.

Children by second wife:

(b)   Christian Adam, b. 2 September 1994.

(c)    Baylie Morgan, b. 6 September 1999 at Everett, Washington.
